96-04 Chrysler Sebring Light Bar Instructions

•  Lower convertible top.

•  Remove rear seats.

•  Remove rear speaker grilles (lift edge of grille slowly, then lift opposite edge and remove).

•  Remove both driver & passenger rear speakers.

•  Only remove the inward screw through felt pad on top of trim panel.

•  Cut out template #1 with scissors.

•  Position template #1 on driver side (Template reference points) mark center hole, then flip template over and mark center hole on the passenger side.

•  Using a 2 ¼" hole saw, drill through trim panels, left and right accordingly.

•  Cut out template #2 with scissors.

•  Position template #2 in driver side speaker grille opening, and mark (2) center holes then flip template over for passenger side and mark (2) center holes ( NOTE: direction of template).

•  Drill the marked centers with a 1/4" drill bit, and follow with a 1-inch hole saw, only drilling through the trim panel ( NOTE: do not drill through inner metal skin).

•  Now that you have the (2) holes drilled in the speaker area, take a center punch and put it through holes and mark inner skin panel, repeat on opposite side.

•  With that step done, finish removing trim panels.

•  You are provided with (2) brackets. These brackets will attach to the inner sheet metal. The center punch marks that you made on the inner skin panel are for line-up purposes only. The bracket itself will fit flat in the channel area; mark all four-corner holes, lining up nuts on bracket with center punch marks. Then drill 1/8" bit pilot holes and finish with a 17/64" drill. Secure with4-self threading bolts. Repeat on opposite side.

NOTE: Brackets are interchangeable. Apply a thread locker (loctite) to bolts.

•  With the brackets secured to the inner skin you can put the trim panels back in place.

•  You are now ready to place the Light Bar into car. Slowly lower light bar into panel holes, making sure not to pinch brake wire. Feed brake wire through trim panel while lowering bar down and then feed wire to bottom of trim panel.

•  With the light bar fully seated, install the (2) Allen head bolts with washers and tighten.

•  Route brake wire as follows: starting from the light bar feed wire forward along the driver side sill cover. You will see a wiring harness under the sill. Cut the black tape surrounding the harness enough to be able to pull out the wires inside it. Connect dark blue electrical connectors to black wire with blue stripe (ground wire) and a white with tan stripe wire (positive brake light wire). Using the (2) light blue connectors attach those to the wires from the light bar.

•  Plug electrical connectors together.

•  Push brake pedal to test. If brake light doesn't work, reserve wire. (LED is polarized).

•  Re-install driver sill cover.

•  Re-install driver and passenger speaker and grille covers

•  Re-install your back seat.
