Do I need anything else to make the door conversion kit work?
No.
The VLS kit includes all of the hardware you need to complete your door kit conversion. 2 VLS units, 2 shocks, and 2 sets of extension wires cut to length. The extension wires include connectors for slicing on them, or you may clip them and solder.
Some kits may require minor body work. Please reference your paticular vehicles kit for details.
