This hood features 6 very aggressive vents from
the engine bay. Venting from the engine bay serves
2 very important functional goals:
1. These vents allow hot air to escape from the engine bay, allowing more air to pass by the block.
2. More vitally, these vents decrease the air pressure
buildup in the engine bay to be lowered, thereby allowing
much more air to pass through the most important engine
cooling peice of the engine: the radiator. Of course
a turbo intercooler greatly benefits from this as well!
Surpisingly, you will see MUCH more cooling from
the increased air flow through the radiator at speed.
At a stop, the vents will also vent air. Working
together, they are a great team for engine performance,
on top of the weight reduction a CF hood brings.
because of the aggressive vent placement, tall strut
bars will not work with this hood without modification.
All Carbon Fiber hoods are made with GRADE
A Carbon fiber for the best finish possible
and FG reinforced for strength and rigidity.
